The 14 jurors (including two alternates) were seated before noon Wednesday. When both the defense and prosecution said they were satisfied with the panel, Judge Christina Mims said, “It brings joy to my heart.”
The jury includes four men and 10 women, one woman who said she was biracial and three Hispanic people. Among the jurors were a nurse or two, a graphic designer, two janitors, a code enforcement officer and a retired bank teller.
