They got another one..
Michigan State Police have arrested a second alleged member of Venezuela’s notorious Tren de Aragua gang, intensifying concerns about cartel-linked crime in the state.
The suspect, apprehended in Ottawa County, was reportedly in the U.S. illegally and tied to human trafficking and violent crimes across multiple states.
This follows last month’s arrest of another gang member in Kent County.
Authorities say the arrests highlight growing threats from transnational gangs exploiting the southern border crisis, with investigations ongoing into the group’s operations in Michigan.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is escalating her legal challenge over the Trump administration’s directive to keep the J.H. Campbell coal-fired power plant in West Olive online this summer—despite its planned May 31 closure. Nessel argues the U.S. Department of Energy’s emergency order was issued without real grid urgency, imposes needless costs on Michigan ratepayers, and overrides state energy regulators. The DOE maintains the move is essential to minimize blackout risk and secure grid reliability during a looming Midwest heat wave. In response to DOE ignoring her rehearing request, Nessel has petitioned the D.C. Circuit Court to overturn the order as arbitrary and illegal.
Despite Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s 2018 campaign pledge to ‘fix the damn roads,’ Michigan’s roads have now ranked 40th nationally for two consecutive years, with little to no improvement in pavement or bridge conditions.
