A Venezuelan illegal alien running from ICE crashed his car, then “violently” assaulted the agent as two others joined in with a snow shovel and a broom handle.
DHS says the agent fired in self-defense while being “ambushed,” and authorities later took the two attackers into custody, with both the agent and the wounded man taken to the hospital.
The shooting sparked another round of protests in Minneapolis, and city and federal officials say investigations are underway.

Cell phone service is back up after yesterday’s massive outage that knocked many Verizon customers into “SOS mode” and disrupted calls, texts, and data nationwide. Verizon says it resolved the issue around 10:15 p.m. ET and told anyone still having trouble to restart their device, adding it will issue account credits to affected customers.
