President Trump says deal with Iran has been ‘largely negotiated.’
President Trump announced a deal with Iran is “largely negotiated,” including reopening the Strait of Hormuz, with details expected soon.
The U.S. carried out “self-defense” strikes on Iranian missile sites and mine-laying boats in southern Iran, but officials say these limited actions won’t break the fragile ceasefire.
Trump also offered to expand the Abraham Accords by having more countries, including potentially Iran-linked nations, normalize ties with Israel as part of any final agreement, while noting plans for Iran to hand over or destroy its enriched uranium stockpile.
Oil futures edged down as ships began moving toward the strait.

2. Secret Service Fatally Shoots Gunman at White House
Secret Service fatally shot gunman Nasire Best, 21, after he opened fire at a White House checkpoint Saturday evening.
Best was known to agents from a July 2025 arrest there, when he claimed to be Jesus Christ.
New multi-angle video captured the exchange; ABC’s Selina Wang ducked live on the North Lawn as shots rang out.

A woman is in serious condition after a home explosion in Plainfield Township, Michigan, this morning.
Crews responded to a blast on Rollaway Drive (near 7 Mile and Division) that leveled the house. The cause remains under investigation.
