The Department of Justice has launched a federal grand jury probe into Neville Roy Singham, a Shanghai-based tech mogul, over his funding of U.S. leftist groups.
Grand jurors in Manhattan are examining possible money laundering, wire fraud, or bank fraud tied to roughly $278–285 million routed through a Goldman Sachs philanthropy fund, shell companies, and nonprofits supporting Marxist, socialist, and activist causes. The investigation, authorized by Acting AG Todd Blanche and led by SDNY’s U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton, began months ago; no charges have been filed.
