  1. Tyler Robinson, Charlie Kirk’s assassin makes first court appearance. Judge will allow cameras in the courtroom.
Tyler Robinson … the 22-year-old charged with killing conservative activist Charlie Kirk … made his first in-person court appearance in Provo, Utah, as Judge Tony Graf heard arguments over cameras in the courtroom. Robinson’s defense and the sheriff’s office want cameras banned, saying wall-to-wall coverage could taint a jury, while news outlets are pushing for access. The judge has already set rules that media can’t show Robinson in restraints, and he’s expected to rule on broader camera access as the case moves toward future hearings.

Obamacare subsidies just hit a wall in the Senate… and that means higher premiums could land fast for millions of people who buy coverage on the ACA marketplaces starting January 1. Senators rejected both bills on 51–48 votes, with the Democratic plan trying to extend the enhanced tax credits for three years and the GOP counter offering health savings accounts instead. Translation: Congress argued, the clock kept ticking, and open enrollment is still rolling toward the deadline with no deal in place.
